Drone Overview

The HaloRC Corvus is our 4-inch cinelifter frame designed for carrying compact cinema cameras like the Blackmagic Micro Studio G2, Sony ZV-E10 II, GoPro Mission 1 ILS and similar. The camera is secured on top with our Universal Camera Mount (UCM), providing 0–35° adjustable angle for capturing everything from slow, controlled shots to faster, more aggressive moves. The battery is mounted to the bottom with the motors inverted to create a compact size and centralised mass that helps deliver efficient, predictable flight characteristics for demanding cinematic work.

We have many years of experience building and tuning FPV drones, and during the development of every frame at HaloRC, we test a wide range of components to identify the best combination. We are pleased to offer customers a fully assembled, tested and tuned Corvus that only requires you to bind to your transmitter and go fly.

Every BNF drone we sell is individually tested and fine tuned to provide the best experience possible. Unique test report data and analasys is provided along with Betaflight setup and 'diff' file. Additionally, we retain this data for future reference, enabling us to deliver updates to your setup whenever new features are released or enhanced performance is unlocked.

The HaloRC Corvus has a compact profile with minimal drag and weight, while maximising airflow input and thrust output. The Corvus BNF comes equipped with T-Motor F60 Pro 2207 195KV motors and GemFan 4045 propellers, providing the perfect balance of weight and power for this setup.

These high end motors are driven by a RushFPV 4-in-1 ESC & F7 FC and can be powered by a 6S LiPo battery. This combination of motors, props, ESC and FC have proven to be super reliable and more than capable of running this setup for many shoots.

Thanks to this high-performance powertrain and the rigidity of the Corvus frame, the drone can comfortably carry 1-1.2kg of payload. The recommended setup is a 1kg total payload, roughly 700g for camera and lens, and 300g for a 2200mAh 6S LiPo. The maximum suggested configuration is a 0.8kg camera and lens paired with a 400g LiPo. Even at this upper limit, you can expect over 5 minutes of flight time on an 6S pack.

To power your cinema camera, the rear panel includes a 12V voltage regulator delivering up to 2.5A from the main flight battery. An XT30 output makes it easy to connect your camera using a suitable cable, or plug directly into one of our Blackmagic Studio G2 Backpacks.

The Corvus BNF uses original DJI antennas, mounted at the rear of the frame and angled for optimal coverage. In testing, we’ve seen no significant performance gains from aftermarket antennas, though TPU mounts are avaialable if you prefer to swap them out.

The HaloRC Corvus has been developed to provide the best possible platform for carrying compact cinematic cameras in the most demanding shooting environments. A large part of this development has been spent on refining the frame to provide super clean gyro readings in the flight controller.

The Corvus uses our tried and tested interlocking arms and spine structure to provide unparralelled levels of stiffness. By minimising the vibrations (noise) being picked up by the flight controller results in drone that flies smooth even when pushing it hard.
