Introducing the 'MasterLink', from HaloRC. Designed to deliver a faster, more stable and longer-range gimbal control link directly through a DJI Inspire 2 Master Controller. Built to integrate seamlessly with our Pandora system, the MasterLink completely eliminates the need for a secondary DJI Slave controller to operate your gimbal and camera setup.
The MasterLink connects directly to your preferred transmitter and routes control signals straight into the Master Controller via the CAN bus port. This unlocks deep customization options, from custom expo curves and profile switching to instant stick inversions.
When paired with a dedicated video system like the DJI SDR, where MasterLink handles control and the SDR handles video, your Master Controller transforms into a high-powered relay station, vastly expanding the range of the Pandora.
Our custom CAN bus cable plugs straight into the MasterLink and powers it directly from the DJI Master Controller CAN bus port, no extra batteries required. The included cable is tailored specifically for the standard DJI Controller. A separate Cendence-specific cable is available if you are running a Cendence setup
Mounting is straightforward: secure the MasterLink module between the master controller's antennas using heavy-duty double-sided tape for optimal antenna placement. Then simply connect the MasterLink to the CAN bus port.
The MasterLink gives you comprehensive control of the gimbal movement and functionality. Beyond the precise 3-axis gimbal movement, you get direct access to FIZ settings to provide Manual-Focus and Iris Control. Auto-Focus can be triggered and the position of it can also be controlled.
Critical operator functions such as gimbal recentre, start/stop record and capturing photos can all be triggered and mapped through the MasterLink, ready to ensure you never miss a shot.
We recommend using ExpressLRS for the lowest latency and ease of setup, but we are pleased to offer the MasterLink with either ELRS or TBS Crossfire fitted.
Fine-tuning your system is effortless with our companion app, available on both iOS and Android. Easily map any function or control axis to your transmitter's channels, and invert gimbal direction at the touch of a button when switching between top and bottom mount.
The app also features a real-time channel monitor, giving you immediate visual feedback on stick inputs and switch positions for lightning-fast bench setup.
When using the MasterLink alongside a video transmission system such as the DJI SDR, your DJI controller becomes a ground relay station. It now has the ability to retransmit your control and video link over longer distances with a more stable connection.
The DJI controller maintains optimal signal strength to the camera by keeping them within range, for maximum quality and minimum latency. While the MasterLink provides control, and the DJI SDR provides video, the result is a clear feed and low latency contol far beyond the stock limits of the system.
